Starting Guide

Welcome to the ultimate staring guide!

Here's a little recap of what you should know about us! We are a 18+ community with a 3(L)-2(S)-3(V) rating. Andeloria is a medieval fantasy game that has no application or activity check. Basically, we're so chill that we're the perfect site for people who live busy lives, but love writing fantasy stories in this setting. We're LGBT+ friendly too, respect and love for everyone.

Please make sure you've read over the following threads, for they are important to understanding the game:
1. Rules - To give you a feel of the kind of things we allow here. For more details, check out the FAQ. It's guest friendly if you have any further questions not answered there. 
2. Plot - So you know what type of story you're getting into. 
3. Setting - Get a feel for the type of landscape we have
4. Lore - We accept most types of fantasy characters, but this will give you more details. It also gives you information on the Andeloria specific races.
5. Gods - The Gods interact with mortals here! Check this thread out if you love playing priestly/hero characters.

So you have a character in mind… Perfect! Now it's time you create that character.

Since we lack any character application thread, you will fill out your profile when you've registered the name. There is no time line on this, but we do ask that you get the basics done before jumping into plotting so we can understand the characters you're bringing in. GMs do check over all the profiles to make sure people are keeping within the rules. If you feel hesitant on something, feel free to ask any of us for help!

Literally that's all it takes to have a character be part of Andeloria. Not fuss no muss! We want to make sure people don't feel stressed about getting involved in a game. We're a story and character building focused game who cater to people who love being involved in main events AND who wish to just find a place to RP with their friends.

Note: You do not have to register with an ooc account name. It can be your actual character's name!

Okay so I have my character, now what!?

Now it's time you figure out what direction you want to take. Our plot is very basic. We offer three major routes in Andeloria:
                    1. Political:
Andeloria offers a few different options for this. Each kingdom has their own courts, ruled by a graced human that recently took over the lands. The once alliance between the four armies has now been broken with the dividing of the lands. The rulers may now enforce their own lifestyle and laws upon their kingdoms. However, tension is high. The Spire monarchy is wounded, but not destroyed. With the armies in their respected kingdoms, will the Graced rulers accept the others as royalty?
                    2. Religion:
There are five gods in Andeloria, each with their own temple and staff. (For any pantheon related plots, speak to godsofandeloria). You can be part of a temple and serve that god. Priests speak for the god they serve, usually remaining in the temple to teach their faith. Heroes are a dangerous role, often seen as the gods guardian as well as experiment.                     3. Race Wars:
In Andeloria, we offer players the ability to bring in whatever lore/creature* they wish. Most races in Andeloria have an opposite they fight against. The Englightened holy warriors of Caphis try to keep the Endarkened creatures of Khaalida from causing havoc. The Drow wish to destroy the Elves and rule the upper lands. The courts may have agreed to take their magic from humans, but they live very different laws... Especially with the fact that Changelings are threatening their systems. Players may create clans/guilds to fight against each other and start a war. Or there may be mythical characters who wish to destroy the humans. Whatever your little heart desires!

You may combine, OR not do any of these. That choice would be up to you as a player! All of these routes are optional. As stated before, we're a freeform site that fits perfectly for people with busy lives who don't want to get involved in major plots, but want somewhere medieval to write.

If you're not sure yet, simply throw up a plotter. You can make up your mind if you'd like to sink your teeth into the games major plots or just give a home to your character that focused on simple stories. That's the beauty of a freeform game.
