THE FIVE GODS OF ANDELORIAAndeloria has five semi-NPC gods. The gods themselves are managed by @gods, however they will never interact with any mortal minus their temple staff. The account is used to assign staff member, play part in events for Andeloria, and speak through/to their staff IF NEEDED. They are otherwise known as legend and myths. Their physical form can only be seen by priests or heroes.
ANYONE may follow any god. ANYONE may attempt to be in a gods favor. ANYONE can be a priest or hero, so long as: a. roles are open, b. you're active, and c. your character fits in the temple/as a servant of the god. Kind hearted nature loving creatures will not belong as priests to Khaalida,  You can only do this by IC method only. DO NOT ask me for a position in the temple OOCly, just play it out.
Priests are characters who speak on behalf of the god. They are the representation of the temple, they get involved with anyone who comes to the temple. They are about as interactive as the gods get, hence why it's semi-NPC. Heroes are much like gladiators- they fight for the gods and get involved in many battles and wars.
I reserve the right to remove someone from temple staff due to inactivity or unable comply with the rules.

►TEMPLE Her temple is located on a small floating island in the north. Water flows over the edge, landing in a large spring under it. Some claim that the goddess tried to take her temple with her to the moon when she ascended, but the faith of the people kept it floating between. The island itself is like a shadow- always dark even during the daylight hours. Unkept nature grows around the temple. The building itself is made from 'moon stone', or simple soft grey marble stone. Regal pillars hold up four sturdy walls. The interior design has gothic tones. Black silk drapes over the window panels, and along the walls are rows of chains- some skeletons remain to remind mortals their place in the world and to always respect her. The temple is small, despite Khaalida's ego. It houses ten rooms- four made for the priests and the hero of the temple. Others are for the guests under her protection- though that is a rare thing to happen.
►HISTORY Khaalida and her twin brother, Caphis, were children who enjoyed living under the sky. Though they were close as children, the twins were separated at the age of ten, leaving them with only half a heart.
Khaalida's life was full of suffering and death, hating the people who raised her so much that she poisoned them in their sleep. Her notorious reputation gained her followers, a tribe full of wild creatures who served as her pets. She forced them to do her bidding, though many enjoyed the abused she fed them. Her goal was to find the other half of her heart- no matter what it cost. Only fate did not play out well when the twins did meet.
Caphis, who had a wonderful life, was unable to take his sister for who she was. He only saw a tortured soul, fearing her darkness. When she tried to remind her of their life as children of the sky, Khaalida could only speak of the night, and how her followers were unable to stand being around her twin.
Rather than fight for him, Khaalida gave into her power, keeping her reputation as queen of darkness.
Elven myths speak of Khaalida bringing down the moon closer the the land, to shine just enough so that anyone could be servants of her power. They said she turned her back on her brother, but every so often she finds a way to visit him to feel the other half of her heart once more. Only during an eclipse do Khaalida and Caphis join as one.
After ascending in a goddess, only one mortal being caught her attention. The man of the sea, jealous that others had titles of godhood. Khaalida took pity on the sea, helping him gain followers by reeking chaos along the edge of the lands. ►TEMPLE About ten miles from where the island of Khaalida's temple sits a tall temple that also is in the sky- only it sits on the mountain tops, as close as Caphis is able to bring it to the sun. The entire mountain is light with forever flaming candles, strong enough to locate through most of Andeloria in the dark. A barrier that keeps dark creatures away surrounds the entire mountains and temple. Caphis enjoyed mountain so much, his own temple takes on a tall structure, rather than a wide one. With ten different levels that all serve a differen purpose. One for his staff, another for people wishing to come up with ideas, an altar room, and even some that take shape of what ever the user needs.
►HISTORY Caphis' life started with his twin, Khaalida, who he shared everything with. After their separation, Caphis did everything in his power to try and find his sister with no luck. Instead he was showered with love and affection from the people who took him in, teaching him anything he asked for. Known as a jack of all trades, Caphis lived out his childhood passing on his teachings to his plethora of younger siblings. However all of them spoke of how he stared at the sky, wondering if his twin saw the same one as him.
When he finally found her, it was not the sister he once loved. Instead he felt very little from her once glowing light. For months, Caphis begged her to return to his side, nearly gaining the other half of his heart until her servants showed they wanted her more. Though he mourned for his sister, he was able to let her go down the path she wished.
Only after the twins were taken in under Dayus' wing, a man who was able to help the twins share the sky, did they find a way to belong together. During the eclipse, Caphis makes it so that creatures of the night can walk freely through the day, and his sister gives night vision to those not normally of the darkness. ►TEMPLE Despite being the god of the sky, Dayus focuses on giving wisdom and playing music. His temple was carved out of a small mountain- even further north of the twins. It is location directly on the edge of Andeloria. His temple is a bunch of tunnels, twisting until they reach to the top of the mountain. Rooms are carved out randomly along the tunnels, and it's through listening to music that one is able to guide their way through the tunnels. An eerie breeze also lingers through the cave: sometimes even so strong it throws one back out. Due to being the god of the sky, Dayus is unable to actually enter his temple for his staff. One must get to the top of the mountain and reach out to him for him to respond.
►HISTORY The god of the sky gained his reputation after the twins had. It was only when he acted as a buffer for the twins did the elves whisper about his ability to control them. Dayus, as a mortal man, was a shape shifter- who favored the birds and then the dragons when they came to Andeloria. Often found singing while flying, that was how he gained all three of his titles within a years time span.
His life was spend on his own, living far away from civilization, for he lacked the ability to make friends. Some say it was because he was never taking side, always supporting both villains and heroes, no matter what the situation was. ►TEMPLE Hard to find unless their is purpose in your hear, the temple is made of nature itself. Only a small path is made when seeking Rhea's temple, a trap made not by the goddess, but her followers. They felt as if their goddess was used, so they wished to hide the temple in what she stood for: nature. The temple is made from six large trees twisting into a shelter. Very little was added to disrupt the natural feel of the temple, not even a floor. It is a smaller temple, though like the rest it houses enough rooms for staff members and those under her protection.
►HISTORY Little is known about the goddess' mortal life. The elves only know of her love for the forest, but even before she became famous enough for followers, none knew of her true form. They speak of a spirit whispering into the ears of the elves and other forest creatures through trees and plants. Others claim that her body was actually a tiny sprite.
Due to her location, Rhea is the only goddess known to not be connected with the other gods. She took on no lovers, nor did she act as a parent to any god children. It was through the humans that she managed to gain a reputation to the villages, giving them a sense of peace anytime they came into her forest.
Like Khaalida, Rhea had many 'servants' to do her bidding, though they were often forest creatures. None ever spoke of cruelty from Rhea, but a motherly affection anytime she spoke to them.☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰ |

►TEMPLE The only god with two temples- both located and Lothrei. One at the port, and the other under the sea. The one at the port is rather normal compared the others- though it is due to always having to be rebuilt, for many wars started around the temple. The under water one is made from coral and ships lost to the storms of the sea.
►HISTORY At first known as a sailor lost at sea in his mortal life, Axenus' love for the sea was so strong, he became one with the water. He lived a peaceful life, ironically destroying ships with storms and lapping up against the rocky surface of Andeloria. It wasn't until he grew jealous of the other gods that he began to demand for attention.
Every night when the moon shone down on him, the sea grew more wild, as if the moon itself affected the waters stillness. Axenus was infatuated with the moon and its goddess, attempting to strike up a deal. That deal turned into a godly affair, but Axenus gained both a beautiful lover and the attention from the mortals.
While he has little control over Andeloria unless water is involved, he found a way to influence humanity by putting anger and war into their hearts. He and Khaalida thrive off putting the world into a darker place.☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰☰ |
