Rune needed to protect his kingdom before his brother could repair the damages and send a wave to retaliate. Though Rune had done his best to make it seem as those his hands were clean of the attack rumors spread that Rune had started the attacks, and soon all out war would come between the eldest and the haughty middle child. If an asked why there was construction on the edge of Rune's territory however, to keep from appearing guilty they would say they sent caravans to the king and convoys of peace and no sign was given that the extended olive branch had been accepted. Rather than risk the life of his people he would conceal them in this land if need be. So a fifty foot wall was constructed between Rhyrid and Lothrei. Construction continued around the rest of the border as well but the gates would be open on the border to Miroevia. After all it was not Luo he was at war with. that it was becoming harder knowing who to trust. Men were now stationed along the wall armed with swords and of course a dozen bowmen were stationed in the upper supports of the wall day and night. There was no way into Rhyrid, and no way out of Rhyrid without Rune's knowledge.

It was during the night that an attack came. During a switch of the guard. Flames climbed into the night and a small part of the wall crumbled. The attackers wound up vanishing but not before leaving traces of their weapons and armor behind.
When word of this had reached Rune he moved to inspect the wall and the damage that had been done. He picked up the traces and gave a grin. These duplicates would fool even the top advisors in the Spire, and that is all he would have to do to legitimize this war and call for a full invasion into Lothrei or for Rhys to have to be kept under the eye of the court forfeiting his land back to the High Queen.
Rune began to pen his note and sent a caravan to the High Queen's court at once. They would arrive outside the spire and ask for court with the High Queen as it would seem odd that King Rune would leave his land in a state of emergency.
Now Rune just had to wait for the high court to make their decision, and if they did not act soon Rune would consider his act of war justified... then all hell would break loose.
