What kind of RP site are you?
One sentence sum up: We are a character building and story telling focused RP site.
Andeloria is a fictional fantasy world set in the medieval era. While we do not have our own lore, we try to follow the typical fantasy lore known to many. Vampires burn in the sun, lycans are allergic to silver, and the gods are assholes trying to ruin everyones lives.
The sky is your limit on imagination and the kind of stories you wish to create.
What's the plot here?
We have a major plot, however we encourage plot change through player story lines. So the story could change drastically depending on how many people get involved and build up their characters. You may focus on one plot or join them all. We take inspiration from the mortal instrument series, graceling, and maybe some holly black.
Plot one - Politics: Andeloria is divided into five kingdoms, each ruled by a certain type of Graced Human (minus one kingdom). The focus for each kingdom is as followed: Wit, Force, Illusion, Light, and Darkness. There, each kingdom has their own court, their own laws, and their own purpose. Recently, their alliance has been broken, thus new wars and stories are unfolding.
Plot two - Religion: The religion in Andeloria are five pantheon who came together and created Andeloria. They have special staff that can serve them and act for them. The gods, being a cruel group of holy beings, cannot directly get involved with mortals, but they can shape them. The two most powerful gods created a group of half angels and half demons. The Enlightened protect all that is good in the world and the Endarkened promote evil.
Plot Three - Faerie Courts: Finally, there is the fae who wanted nothing to do with the dragons or their hierarchy. They created portals and took their magic with them. The courts never got along, but they might stand a chance with the help of the Changelings. Guardians of both the mortals and the fae.
What does freeform mean?
This is a little repetitive, but allow me to explain. We're not the kind of site that nit pick the itty bitty details of characters. We're a big world, trying to make things bigger with players help! This includes characters, guilds, royal families, and even lands.
SO! That means we have NO word count, NO forced face claim, NO activity check... AND players of all levels are welcome here.
Our plots are there, but we give a whole world for people to play in and totally avoid our plots!
Pretty awesome, right? We love people, so we want to make this as easy for you as possible. You literally create your character and put them in Andeloria.

Does Andeloria have a map?
No. Though images may be used, Andeloria would much rather give you a description and you let the imagination roll.
If I have a French character and family, how come I can't say they're from France?
I have two reasons for this. While Andeloria is based off Medieval Europe, it's a made up world. And… for the sake of the game, it's basically the center of the universe!
Germany, Japan, and even America DO NOT exist in this world. That being said, we accept ALL race and ethnicity in our game! If you wish to be native to Andeloria, using a mythical land (which I find most people do use) works just as well.
Another reason is respect to RL cultures. Everyone has different beliefs on myths, culture, and race. Some think Japan's culture is exactly like how we see in anime… and it is far from! That's just one example. It's the easiest way to respect those of us who are part of different cultures.
How do I get involved with the gods?
The admin (which is me) over sees the storylines about the gods. Gods here don't really interact with mortals. They gift gifts when offerings are made, they speak through their priest(ess), and often send forth their hero to get involved in events. That's about it though when it comes to how much the gods interact with people IC. They can only be seen by their staff as well.
Each god has three priests that they speak through. Priests will teach others about the faith, work to protect the name of their god, and even perform ceremonies for their gods. Heroes are basically the gods 'toys' to be blunt about. They often get sent into wars or get put on missions to fuck things up. Sometimes they even get sent to kill those who insult the gods.
