Mundanes were foolish creatures. Instead of kissing the feet of a grace human, Amaya chose to kiss the stone statue of a goddess. Khaalida in particular. The young lycanthrope wasn't sure if she would survive the war- being a blind animal and a witch made things... difficult for her. However, thanks to the temple of the moon goddess, Amaya found her sanctuary. She was not much of faithful being, but somehow Amaya found faith in Khaalida. The young wolf girl was blind, but not weak. Her will stronger than ever after surviving the war and her magical abilities only growing stronger. "My goddess." It was the first time Amaya spoke to the gods directly. "I have come to give my thanks for your sanctuary during the war." Placed upon the altar was a white bone. "I wish to serve you and give insight to the mundanes. They do not understand you... They call you wicked, but they see darkness as something to fear." Surely it was something to fear, but Amaya knew there was more to Khaalida than darkness. She was also the lover of chaos. She protected the creatures of the night. "Let me stay and serve as your priestess." Gods of Andeloria

Foolish Creatures indeed… The stone statue was kissed and the Goddess was there… oh she had a soft spot for children of the night, and a survivor too… she had been watching Amaya, more closely than any being would have been comfortable with, but the Goddess did not care to think of what made others comfortable.. Sanctuary… there were few who were offered such a gift… but perhaps the wolf girl was special to the Goddess, or perhaps it was a test. The war had raged, and here the wolf girl was… faith. It was first the thanks that caught the Moon Goddess’s eye… the gratitude pleased Khaalida. Too many were ungrateful… too many did not care. The white bone was placed, and as Amaya spoke it shimmered between one world and the next before it appeared in Khaalida’s fingers.. A priestess? Would this one stay… she had one missing in action. The Goddess circled Amaya, unseen… but not unfelt… the fact that Amaya was blind would make her more in tune with her surroundings.. The next moment a fine silver strand was lifted over the wolf girl’s head, the necklace bearing the Moon Goddess’s mark… The words that came were soft, and strange, the petite woman who stood before Amaya was as beautiful as she had ever been, but Amaya would not care… perhaps that was why she was getting this chance… “I will accept your service, Amaya” she bent and pressed a soft kiss just below and behind the girl’s ear lobe, leaving the shape of a crescent moon. It marked Amaya as her Priestess… but it marked her as a child of the Moon too… it marked the girl for protection. Amaya would feel it, shimmering on her skin if her fingers went looking for it. “Ask me anything” she invited with a murmur into Amaya’s ear, the soft tone turned seductive.. she remained there close enough for the blind wolf girl to reach out and touch if she wished... already the Goddess had formed an affection for this one. Amaya ((Sorry this took so long!!))

The moment the kiss blessed her with the symbol of the goddess, Amaya heard the sweet seductive voice. Brows rose, showing her shock of the acceptance, but soon her lips curled into a daring smirk. She found her place in a cruel world that tried to kill her. Whether it was because she was blind, a lycanthrope, or a woman... It didn't matter, someone was always trying to ruin her. But the sanctuary of the temple and the love of a goddess gave Amaya a new found strength.
Fingers gingerly reached out in front of her, brushing along the arms of the goddess. The rumors were true about the gods- their temple members could see and hear the gods. She would speak for Khaalida to the mundanes. The wolf girl only had one question for the goddess then.
"What is it you wish me to do now, my goddess?" The devotion in her tone was there, as if Amaya knew the moon goddess for years. Perhaps she did. Perhaps it was Khaalida who kept her alive through all her turmoil only to have her serve her.

Oh… the world would try again and again… but Amaya had Khaalida now… and for those she favors Khaalida went above and beyond. The daring smirk... the renewed strength…. All of it was pleasing to the Goddess of the Moon. Amaya’s fingers brushed over cool skin… she was not cold blooded like the vampires… but she was not hot like the wolves… she was somewhere in-between. “Serve….” She stated simply. “Find those who do not believe… remind them why the war happened in the first place… and pay a visit to the Spire Family… check on the child who bears this mark,” a fingertip touched the space behind and below her ear. “do not be afraid anymore…” she touched her lips to Amaya’s in what was no more than a brushing before she was gone. That was what she wished Amaya to do… let go of the fear that had gotten her this far through life and let Khaalida take care of that. Moon Fae flit around Amaya… offering to show her to Priestess quarters, and robes or gowns… furs… whatever the girl wished to wear could be found, but now when she left Temple ground she would not feel alone.. it would feel as if someone was watching, protecting.

One had to be a fool to not know who the Spire family was. The war was over, but that didn't mean everything was peaceful. "The one who bares your mark..." She knew that despite her handicap, Amaya would be able to find the one who bore that mark with ease. It was tied to her, after all.
"I shall not fail you," she spoke before she felt her goddess vanish. Packs kicked her out many times, but Amaya found acceptance for who she was in the temple. Her sight was gone, but her powers that connected her to the earth made her aware of her surroundings. She followed the shadowing guide of the Moon Fae that lead her to her own room. That... was something new, of course. Living in the forest for her whole life made her feel a little awkward about having a room, but she didn't seem to mind the change and comfort it offered.
"Tomorrow," she spoke to herself. "I shall go on a hunt."
